Stores Operator

Stores Operative Location: Livingston Are you an organised Stores or Warehouse Operative with forklift experience and an eye for detail? Escape Recruitment is recruiting a Stores Operative on behalf of an established manufacturing business. This varied, hands-on role combines goods receiving, stock control, forklift operation and administration, helping ensure production teams have the materials they need. If you enjoy keeping things organised, solving problems and working with different teams, this could be an excellent next move. The role Working within the Stores team, your responsibilities will include: • Receiving deliveries and checking goods for damage, discrepancies and accuracy. • Recording goods received and stock movements on a computerised stock control system. • Locating, storing and labelling materials so they can be retrieved easily. • Picking and issuing materials to departments across the site. • Managing stock rotation and monitoring material availability. • Operating a forklift truck and carrying out daily manual handling tasks. • Handling chemicals and dangerous goods in line with training and safety procedures. • Reporting and separating damaged or rejected materials. • Supporting the Stores and Purchasing teams with administration. • Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment. About you We are looking for someone who brings: • Relevant stores, warehouse or stock control experience. • A relevant forklift qualification. • Training in the safe handling of chemicals and dangerous goods. • Confidence using computerised stock systems and completing administration. • Good attention to detail and accurate record-keeping skills. • Clear communication skills and a helpful approach. • The ability to organise tasks, use initiative and work well within a team. • A strong commitment to safe working practices.
